Ms. Audrey Meredith Smith, 61, was born on December 15, 1969 in Spanish Town, Jamaica, West Indies to Ms. Pearl McDonald and Mr. Aldyn Smith. She departed this life on February 12, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She attended Spanish Town Primary and Camperdown High School in Jamaica. She then emigrated to the United States and resided in Toledo, Ohio. Audrey then relocated to New York, and met Donald Carvey. To this union, Corey and Marcus were born.

Audrey relocated back to Ohio to be closer to family and to further her studies. Audrey worked as a transporter at a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She eventually become a Nurse's Assistant in 2000 due to health issues, but she did not allow her illness to deter her. Audrey was an awesome mother. Corey and Marcus were her world. She loved dancing, cooking, a hearty conversation with family and friends, watching TV, and enjoying a good party.

Audrey was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Pearl McDonald; father, Mr. Aldyn Smith; sisters, Ms. Judy McDonald and Mrs. Valerie Muthra, and brother, Mr. Leroy Chin. She is survived by her sons, Mr. Corey Carvey and Mr. Marcus Carvey of Toledo, Ohio; step-mother, Mrs. Faye Smith of Spanish Town, Jamaica; sisters, Mrs. Paulette Smith-Williams of Spanish Town, Jamaica, Mrs. Petrona Andrews (Klay) of Arlington, Texas, Mrs. Claudette Smith-Mackie of Florida, and Mrs. Joy Smith (Brian) of Toledo, Ohio; brother, Mr. Shani Negair (Janet) of Florida, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and loving friends.
