Nancy A. Strozier

<p>Nancy A. Strozier, 74, of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic after a difficult battle with kidney disease and Steven Johnson Syndrome. She was born on December 25th,1946 to Mary Jane and Hosie Holston in Hot Springs, AK. Nancy went on to marry Paul Strozier and gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Paula (Faith) Jackson-Strozier and Eva Strozier.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was industrious and worked at various vocations until physical disabilities prevented her from gainful employment. From being a taxi driver in Washington D.C. to being a health care aide at nursing homes to performing housekeeping at various hotels in Toledo. Nancy had a passion for music, and she taught herself to play the flute, bongo, organ, and harmonica. Surprisingly, she was quite good at them all. </p><p><br></p><p>Prior to her failing health, Nancy loved fishing, visiting family and friends, and going to the J. Frank Troy Senior Center where she engaged in different activities to keep herself active. Throughout her time with us, she found time to do volunteer work displaying her love of people. Nancy was free spirited, possessing the gift of drawing people in and making them laugh. She was fun to be around and you just enjoyed being in her company.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition, Nancy was a very spiritual woman and had accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour as an adult. She frequented several churches in the Toledo area where she enjoyed the fellowship, music, and the preaching of the gospel. Also, Nancy enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to gospel music.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was preceded in death by her loving parents, and daughter Paula (Faith) Jackson-Strozier as well as her best companion, Savanna (her dog). She is survived by her loving daughter Eva Yovonna Strozier; grand-daughter, Tiffany Mosley Forbes (Chris); great-grandchildren, Jianna and Jamiah; sisters, Eva Holston-Cole (Dennis) and Mary Boles; Brother, Walter Holston;favorite cousin/son, Rick Love (Greta); best friends, Kathy McGinnis, Margaret Richardson and Norma Meredith, and a host of extended family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Home Going Celebration will be Saturday February 20th, 2021 at the House of Day Funeral Home located at 2550 Nebraska Ave. Wake/Visitation will be at 3:00pm and services will resume at 4:00pm. Due to Covid-19 and social distancing, the service will be limited to 50 people (Not the Visitation). Please take note that the entire Home Going Celebration will be Live Streamed via Facebook.</p>
