In Remembrance of Our Beloved Leon Reynolds, Jr.


On February 6, 2021 Leon Reynolds, Jr. transitioned in Montgomery County, Maryland surrounded by love ones.

Leon Reynolds, Jr. was born on April 24, 1935 to Leon Reynolds, Sr. and Elnora Harris in Toledo, Ohio. He was the eldest of 3 children. Leon was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry.


He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1960. Shortly upon discharge he married Elena Fairybell McGee in October, 1960. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage, 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

During his life, Leon enjoyed bowling and preparing tax returns. He was a sharp dresser, had an ecliptic love for music and enjoyed dancing.


He was employed by The United States Postal Service for 45 years retiring on November 29, 2002.


He is survived by his wife, Elena, who he fondly called “Fairybell”, his children, Darlene (Willie) Brownlee, Leon, AKA, Butch Reynolds, Raymond (Nancy) Reynolds and sister Marge Reynolds. The joys of his life grandchildren Darren and Tia Brownlee and Alijah Reynolds and his cherished nieces, a nephew and cousins Barbra Macklin and Joyce Majors.


Visitation will be held at The House of Day Funeral Home on Monday February 15, 2021 at 12noon followed by funeral services at 1 pm. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
