John A. Potter passed away on November 10, 2022, at the age of 60 years old. Son of the late Henry and Joyce (Green) Potter, he was born on December 13,1961, in Goshen, NY.
John proudly served his beloved country in the U.S. Army from 1980-1983. After his honorable discharge, John worked for the Monroe-Woodbury School District for 30 years in Security which he retired from and then pursued his career in Massage Therapy, most recently working for Subtle Energies in Chester, New York.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving siblings: Kenny Potter of Highland Mills, NY; Carol Martino of Melbourne, FL; Nancy Forman of Montgomery, NY; JoAnn Potter of Mount Hope, NY; Joyce Ann Straub of Florida, NY; and by his Uncle Leroy Green and his wife Judy, his Aunt Lois Green, and his Uncle Jon Schaefer; several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 515 Rt. 32, Highland Mills, NY 10930. A Graveside Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd., Goshen, NY 10924.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
