<p>On behalf of the Owner, Management and Staff of Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors,&nbsp; it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of&nbsp;Ms. SFC, US&nbsp;Army (Ret), Valerie Warren-Blackmon, age 69&nbsp;of Arlington, Texas.&nbsp; Valarie&nbsp; quietly slipped away to be with the Lord&nbsp;at Medical City in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.&nbsp; </p><p>She was born on March 9, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas to her mother Zeffie Lee Warren and father Henry Hayes where, she lived and attended high school at the historic I.M. Terrell. Valarie served in the armed forces from 1974 through 1981 during this time she birthed her only child La' Keshia Nixon. After leaving the military Valarie and La' Keshia moved to Arlington, Texas where they called their home. Valarie attended Remington College and received an Associates Degree in Business Administration.&nbsp; </p><p>After completing her education Valarie liked to fill her time with traveling, and spending time with family. Valarie is known for her big personality. Everyone that met her called her “mama Val”. She enjoyed taking in those she met as her own children and family members. She will be missed dearly.&nbsp; </p><p>Survivors include her only child La' Keshia Nixon (Chris), her sister Charlene Adams-Brown, brothers Charles Warren, James Lee (Donna) and Ike Malone (Yolanda), grandchildren, Treylen Lewis, Jazmine Lewis, Ke’Jon Jackson.&nbsp; </p><p>Please keep the Blackmon family lifted in prayer. Services for Ms. Blackmon are posted. </p><p>&nbsp; </p>

On behalf of the Owner, Management and Staff of Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors,  it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. SFC, US Army (Ret), Valerie Warren-Blackmon, age 69 of Arlington, Texas.  Valarie  quietly slipped away to be with the Lord at Medical City in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
