Sylvia Braziel Hawkins
<p>Our beloved mother, sister, daughter, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and friend, Pastor Sylvia Braziel Hawkins returned to her eternal home with the Lord on October 6, 2016. Born on January 31st, 1942 in Rockmart, Georgia, Pastor Hawkins is the 1st of two daughters born to Iris Davis-Braziel and David Braziel. She grew up in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by a large extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins’ and childhood friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Sylvia was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and devoted her later years to loving and encouraging future generations to love the Lord and cherish their family, often greeting her loved ones with “Hey Baby” and offering a peppermint. She is preceded in death by her mother, Iris Parker (Davis); her father, David Braziel; her children, Lenora Frazier, John Daniel Fitzgerald, Jr., and Sandra Pifer; and other relatives and loved ones. She is survived by her son, Dennis James Braziel of Irving, TX; sister Diane Dennard of Melbourne, FL; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p>Obituary
