<p>Ella M. Ballard-Hill was called home to be with the Lord on August 10,</p><p>2016. Ella was born on May 26,1934 in Monroe, Louisiana to Mattie</p><p>(Brown) Ballard and Ben Ballard Sr., Ella was the youngest of 8 children.</p><p>Ella now joins her family that preceded her in death, her parents Mattie</p><p>and Ben Ballard, her 3 brothers Ed Ballard, Clarence Ballard, Ben</p><p>Ballard Jr., her 3 sisters; Ernestine Ballard Darrington, Rosalie Ballard-</p><p>Neal, Beatrice Ballard-Johnson, Ella's 3 daughters Evone Hill-Turner,</p><p>Dianne Hill-Brodie and Beverly Hill in heaven. Ella is survived by her</p><p>sister Ruby Ballard-Harris.</p><p>Ella attended Little Flower Catholic Elementary school and graduated</p><p>from Richwood High School in 1951, Monroe, LA. She enjoyed playing on</p><p>the girls basketball team, and spending precious time on her parents</p><p>land with her sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews.</p><p>Ella married Theo Hill Jr. on Dec 31,1949 in Monroe, LA. and moved to</p><p>Toledo Ohio in 1951 were they were blessed with 8 beautiful children, 6</p><p>girls and 2 boys, Dianne Hill-Brodie ( Michael) California, Sharon Hill-</p><p>Woods (Germain) Michigan, Marsha Hill (Ohio), Beverly Hill (Ohio),</p><p>Evone Hill-Turner (Thomas) Ohio, Ellen Hill ( Michigan), Eric Hill (Anja )</p><p>Ohio, Christopher Hill (Amanda )Ohio.</p><p>Ella was a faithful Christian and member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church,Toledo, Ohio for many years, under the direction of Reverend Samuel Coleman.</p><p><br></p><p>Ella worked outside the home for the Miller family for 17 years from 1952 to 1969. Thereafter she worked for Toledo Hospital as a Nurses Aid for 20 years and retired 1989. She relaxed at home with her daughter Beverly F. Hill and enjoyed special time with her family in her golden years.</p><p><br></p><p>Ella had many hobbies like Sitting on the patio drinking coffee on a nice sunny day, Feeding her birds and squirrels, Watering & planting her beautiful flowers, wearing her fabulous designer clothes, finding good</p><p>deals on just about everything, watching her favorite soap opera "Young & The Restless "& "The Bold & The Beautiful ", Watching Sports on TV & making bets on the winning team with her son-n-law Germain, Spending</p><p>time with her grand-kids and monthly get together.</p><p><br></p><p>All her loving grand children: I'Alla & Chad Brodie (California), Lenner Martin-Griffin ( Dail) Michigan, Kimberly Gayheart Christopher) Ohio, Jason Hill (Tamara) (Ohio), Courtney Hill (Michigan), Waverly Hill</p><p>Mathis (Ohio), Johnathan Hill (California), Tamisha Turner (Michigan), Mariah Carrington (Ohio), Megan Carrington (Ohio), Jasmin-Hill Gomez (Jesse) (Texas), Savannah Hill (Ohio), Vincent Hill (Ohio), Kennedie</p><p>Addison & Payton Hill (Ohio), and her precious great grand & great great grand children, nieces & nephews.</p>July 23, 201607/23/2016
