Service will be Wednesday 1:00pm, wake at 12:00pm at the House of Day Chapel. Artis Henry Layson Sr., 53, passed Monday, December 21, 2015, at his residence in Toledo. He was born February 15, 1962, to George L. and Matha Layson. Artis worked construction at Local 500 and was a member of Cornerstone Church. He was loving father and grandfather and graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School. Artis is survived by daughters, Artisha (Jamel) Easterly and LaKesha (Andre) Jones; sons, Artis Layson Jr., Artis Stallworth; fiancée, Terri Easley; and a host of grandchildren, brothers, sisters, other family and friends. Funeral Services are Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Services Chapel, preceded by 12:00 p.m. wake.
