Funeral services are Tuesday July 7, 2015, 12:00noon preceded by 11:00am wake. Visitation is Monday from 7-9pm, all services to take place at The House of Day Funeral Services Chapel. Melvin Tidwell Sr., age 68, passed Monday, June 29, 2015 at University of Toledo Medical College. He was born March 18, 1947, the son of Roy S. Tidwell Sr. and Mary L. Echols. Melvin retired from Daimler Chrysler Jeep and was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, telling stories/jokes and entertaining family & friends. Melvin is survived by daughters, Shala (Trib) Dailey, Alexis Tidwell, Shalon Tidwell, Canei Tidwell, & Jackqulyn Flunder; sons, Melvin Tidwell Jr. & Damion Flunder; step-father, Rudell Williams; special friend, Deborah A.. Tidwell; and a host of brothers, sisters, grandchildren, other family & friends.
