Mary A Perryman
<p>Maryalice Mallett, was born September 7, 1945 to Ed Lee and Annie Bell Mallett in Sallis, Mississippi. Mother Perryman went home to be with her Lord on June 14, 2015 after a long battle with illness. Mother Perryman graduated from Tipton Street High School in Kosciusko, Mississippi at 17 and moved to Toledo, Ohio where she met and married Willie L. Perryman, Sr. She worked for many years at Coyne Textile Industries (Clean Wear) as a Union Steward. She was very active in Labor Relations and spent long hours finding resolutions for her coworkers. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Many can say that she was sweet and kind. More than that, Mother Perryman loved God and cherished her call to service and helping others. Mother Perryman was a long-time member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church, where she served tirelessly as a member of the #2 Choir, Women’s Auxiliary, Vacation Bible School Staff, Commodities Coordinator, Hospitality Committee, and Mission. She served in the Northwestern District Association of the OBGC and was a past President of the Northwestern 1st District that includes Toledo, Lima, and a portion of Dayton, Ohio. Mother Perryman was also active in the Toledo Citywide Missionary Fellowship. In service to her community, she was a member of the Toledo Mass Choir (Toledo Interfaith Choir) as well as a Daughter of the Eastern Star. Mother Perryman was a graduate of Calvary Bible College and was also active as a Booster for Libbey High School as a concerned parent and in support of her children who attended there. Mother Perryman is preceded in death by her parents Ed Lee and Annie Bell Mallett; Sisters Lula Mae Rayford, Earline Winters, Dora Pearl Mallett, Mimmie Steward and Brothers Walter Lee Mallett, Sr. , Ed Davis Mallett, Dan Will Mallett, and Emmet Fox. She now leaves to cherish her memory, her son Fredrick Perryman (Tracy); daughter, Selina Perryman; grandson Taaj Mabrey-Perryman; Sisters Dorothy Mallett, Clara Newell, Pearl Zollicoffer, Ora Francis Robinson (MJ) and Brother Clarence Mallett; Stepchildren Sandra Battle (Theodis), Andrea Perryman, Dwight Perryman, Marvin Perryman, Dr. W.L. Perryman, Jr., and James Perryman. She also leaves Step Grand and Great-Grandchildren, and a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, colleagues, and friends. Mother Perryman will be greatly missed…but rejoice! There is no better feeling than to KNOW that she is in the presence of the King. Funeral services are Friday, June 19, 2015, 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, preceded by 10 a.m. wake. Visitation is Thursday 7-9 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Service Chapel.
