S T Butler

<p>S. T. Butler, Jr., was born, April 21, 1935, in Pickens, Mississippi, to S.T. Butler, Sr. and Mary Butler. He was the third oldest child of fourteen siblings. During his lifetime, he was a loving husband and father. He was a hard worker, he worked at Don's Donuts, Howard Johnson's and Ford Motor Company, where he was a Machine Operator, at the Ford Stamping Plant, retiring after 17 years. S.T. enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards and joking around. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family in their time of need. S.T. loved his church and his favorite saying when he answered the phone was, "Talk to Me". S.T. was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Louise M. Butler; sister, Edna Ann Butler; three brothers, John Henry Butler, Willie Lee Butler, and Edward I. Butler; two daughters, Dorothy Lynn Butler and Dorothy Louise Butler; and granddaughter, Lotina Boyd Saunders. He leaves to cherish many wonderful memories, daughters, Deandra Butler (4 children), Elaine (Sam, Jr.) Hill (3 children); sons, Henry Boyd (4 children), David (Michelle) Boyd (12 children), S.T. Butler, III (4 children), and Steven J. Butler (2 children); brothers, Charles Butler, Jimmie Butler, and Roosevelt Simpson; sisters, Ella M. Durham, Della M. (Moses) Clark, Dorothy (Ron) Weathers, Helen Ballwin, and Ethel Koonce; and a host of great grandchildren, goddaughter, Patricia Lewis (2 children); special friends, Lathisa Belcher and Holli Hatton. Services are 1:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2015, preceded by wake at 12:00 pm at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church.</p>
