Wayne Young Pirtle Sr Obituary

Wayne Young Pirtle, Sr., 65, departed this life peacefully and without struggle, on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in the comfort of his home, with his wife by his side. He was born, March 5, 1948, to the late James and Elnorah Pirtle. He confessed Christ at an early age, and later re-dedicated his life and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.. Wayne graduated from Libbey High School and went on to become a Construction Worker, for Local 500, where he worked for over 20 years. Wayne loved playing his saxophone/trumpet and listening to music. Wayne was always very comical. He loved laughter. He had a joyful, loving spirit. Wayne was a Cadillac man, and a pool shark. He also enjoyed fishing, watching cowboy movies and playing cards with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a awesome friend, who loved his family and friends very dearly. His tight, sincere and loving hugs will truly be missed. Wayne's journey grew him closer to the Lord. His faith endured him until the end. There is no question that he is in the loving arms of our heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by both parents, James and Elnorah Pirtle, brother, James Pirtle, Jr., and sister, Davilla. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, of 18 years, Elaine Pirtle; sons, Wayne Pirtle, Jr., Chris (Patricia) Washington, Tony (Renee) Wilson and Terry Burgess; daughters, Sadonna (Terrance) Daniels, Karen (Lewis) Simpson, Tammy Burgess and Nicole Burgess; 39 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
