Taron Tyrone Hamilton Obituary

Services are 11:00am Wednesday, November 13, 2013 preceded by wake services at 10:00am at Cornerstone Church, 1520 N. Reynolds Road, Maumee, Ohio. Visitation Tuesday, from 7 to 9:00pm at The House of Day Funeral Home. Life began for Taron (AKA Tyrone, Terry) Hamilton on February 3, 1951 when he was the second child born of eight children to the Late Eugene and Frances Hamilton. Taron was educated in the Toledo Public Schools and was a 1968 graduate of Edward Drummond Libbey High School. Taron his other brothers, followed in his father’s footsteps being employed with Jeep Corporation, and later became a photographer for Olan Mills. Taron was much about family. It was evident that he took the scriptures literally, “be fruitful and multiply.” Taron was the proud father of Ten (10) children; Kymberly, Stephanie, Kimberly, Tyrone (Bud), Kenneth (Cody), Terrence, Karla, Angel, Sparkles, and An’Tuan. Taron loved his children and his grandchildren very much! Although Taron may not have been father by birth to many children, yet, he treated many as if they were his own. Taron loved cars, and seemingly was a car collector. Over the years, he has owned a Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, Mark IV Continentals and Cadillacs (particularly a pink Cadillac, with a diamond in the back, sunroof top). Like his father, Taron loved music and learned to play the organ from his father. In his younger years, he and his brother Jerry had their own band (AKA The Soultation and The Mark IV). Often, they travelled throughout Northwest Ohio and Michigan. On one particular evening Taron was asked by his father to take over playing for him because he was not feeling well, and was going home to take a break. Little did Taron know it would be the last time he would ever see his father alive for he died that evening while Taron was filling in for him at the supper club. Taron found his way back to the Lord in March 2013 at Cornerstone Church under the leadership of Bishop Michael Pitts. Over the years he struggled through life, having one health challenge after another but God brought him through. On Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 4:36 P.M., God said Taron, your struggle is over. Taron slipped quietly from our mist and joined his mother and father, his brothers JuJuan, Ronnie, and Keith and Twin Sisters Jacqueline Laverne and Carmen LaJune. Taron leaves to cherish his memories and love his daughters Kymberly (Keith) Liles of Dacula, GA, Stephanie (Michael) Johnson of Toledo, OH, Kimberly (Gilbert) Brown-Reynolds of Detroit, MI, Karla Dowdell of Atlanta, GA, Angel Williams of Toledo, OH, Sparkle Thompson of Toledo, OH, Sparkles Hamilton of Toledo, OH, Tyrone (Shavette) Watson of Toledo, OH, Cody James of Toledo, OH, Terrance Hamilton of Toledo, OH, and An’Tuan Hamilton of Round Rock, TX; Sister, Deborah Hamilton-Williams of Powder Springs, GA, Half-Sister, Gwendolyn Insley of Toledo, OH Brothers; Jerry (Katherine) Hamilton of Toledo, OH, Andre’ Hamilton, Powder Springs, GA, Rev.Al (Marguerite) Hamilton, Lathrup Village, MI; Step-Father, Frank (LaVerne) Johnson; Thirty-Two grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, a special companion, Shirlene Barnes, and host of other relatives and friends.
