Service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 12:00pm at Tabernacle of Faith, 701 W. Central. Visitation, Tuesday, from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the House of Day Chapel. Stewart D. Smith Sr., 54, passed away at home peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2013. Stewart was born in Toledo, OH on August 23, 1959. Stewart loved to cook and always looked forward to feeding family and friends. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Stewart was a 1977 graduate of Edward Drummond Libbey High School and also a member of Local 500 for over 20 years. Stewart was preceded in death by his father, George Hague and his son, Ricardo Horton. He is survived by his loving mother, Louise Smith; his former wife, Nancy Smith; brothers, Bobby Smith (Joyce), Gregory Smith, Patrick (Inky) Smith, Christopher Smith, Steven Smith; sisters, Pat Powell, Denise Smith, Carol Smith; sons, Stewart Jr. (Sharonda) Smith, Stuart Wells, Staci Wilson, Ramone Stallworth, Sevario Whitaker; daughters, Shawntae Monique (Terrell) Jones, Britney Smith; grandchildren, Stuart II, Sevario, Antonio, Taesean, Ricardo, Sarond, Sharod, Ra'Myah, Kouture' and Bailyee; his special lady friend, Shonnah Hughes and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday 7-9 p.m. at the House of Day Funeral Home with funeral services Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Tabernacle of Faith, Pastor James C. Williams III at 12 p.m. 701 W.
