Della Renee Williams

<p>Della Renee Williams went home to be with the Lord on March 28,2013. Della was born in Rome, Georgia on February 13, 1957 to Annie Ruth Oxner and Sam Daniel. She was preceded in death by her fathers; Sam Daniel and Levertus Oxner who was lovingly called “Daddy Lee”. Della was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School, where she was an active participant in her High School choir and chorale. An avid learner, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and was pursuing her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Toledo. Della was a professional at everything the Lord gave her hands to do, and had an impeccable work ethic. Her dedicated years in Accounting include Dana Corporation, Catholic Charities, Vista Shule’, and MetroParks of Toledo. Della loved the life God blessed her with and lived it to the fullest! She was an active witness of God’s word and promises, and loved God’s people with all of her heart. Her ministry spilled over into her various activities, which included Heroes in Action, the African American Women Cancer Support Group, CSB Christmas Party, the Clarence Smith Community Chorus where she was a beautiful Alto, and a skilled instructor in Ballroom Dance. Della believed in sharing the various talents and gifts God bestowed upon her with those around her. She was a beacon of light and hope to many in the cancer community throughout her fight. She participated in a myriad of walks, camping trips, and causes to raise awareness and funds for research in finding a cure for all types of cancer. Della’s legacy will always be in the hearts of those who were blessed to be a part of her virtuous life. Della leaves her beloved memory to her four beautiful children, JaNae’ (Mylan), James IV (Jacquelynn), Jordan (Jennifer), and JaMia; eleven precious grandchildren, Jalen, Jasmine, Myiah, Mykailah, Milan, James V, Justin, Jonathan, Jayda, Jordan, and Jada; mother, Annie Ruth Oxner; five sisters: Debrine, Sadie, Regina (John), Weta (Julius), Monica; and one brother, Aaron. Other sisters who loved her are Luverrain (Lewis) Ellis, Asille (Allen) Wright Jr., and Phyllis (Charles) Gwinn from Texas.She was loved by many, including Special Friends, Iva Brassfield, Amanda Green, Rojene Mundy, Daisy Abrams, Dana Burch, and Jullie Quinn-Hunt. She also leaves a host of loving aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins to cherish her memory. She was loved by many, including Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00am, wake at 10:00am at Charity Baptist Church. Visitation Friday, April 5th from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the House of Da Chapel.</p>
