Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:00am, wake at 9:00am at Rosary Cathedral Church.Diane lived her life her way, and what a life it was! Diane was a long time member of the High Rollers Bowling Team where she was known as "Dirty D", she made many friends during her 27 years working at the Toledo Jeep plant. Diane loved to cook, but more than that, she loved to feed you; she thoroughly enjoyed preparing her special dishes and sharing them with friends and family. Nothing made her happier than sharing time with her family and especially her sisters as one of "The Golden Girls". Her heart was as big as her personality, she held nothing back. Diane gave generously of herself to those she loved and never met a stranger; outgoing, boisterous and fun loving with a smile that made her beautiful eyes sparkle with mischievousness.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Celia Almanza. Diane leaves behind to cherish her memory, Robbin, her loving husband of 27 years, as well as her sons, Manquel, Little Robbin; daughter, Marvenia; grandchildren, Andrea, Makai and Emmanuel; brothers and sisters, Sally, Olga, Ruben, Rachel, JoAnn, Jerry, Gigi and Jackie; as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved very much, and her best friend, Arletha Cathcart. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Shehadeh and the staff at St. Anne's Cancer Center for their kindness, optimism and the true affection they shared with Diane.
Lady Di is gone from us but there is comfort in knowing that she lives on through the memories of so many people.
