Bettye C. Combs, 77, was born to Booker and Marie Green, on March 2, 1935, in Houston, TX. She passed away on December 29, 2012, in Ridgewood Nursing Home. Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Combs, in 1990. She is survived by her godson, David A. Smith; friends, Mable Gray, Kelly Gray-Smith and Lee Simpson. Services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 3:00pm, at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery,4210 W. Central Ave., in the Mausoleum.
