Madeline Carter 84, departed this life Dec. 15, 2012. She worked for the State Hospital for many years and was a devoted wife and mother. Madeline was a longtime member of St. Paul Baptist Church where she served as a member of the choir & deaconess board. Madeline is survived by daughters, Sharon (Charles) Waters, Esther Carter; sons, Steve (Wanda), Stuart (Rita), Scott (Michelle), Leonard (Cheryl) Carter; brothers, Thomas E. & Lewis Byrd; and a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren Funeral Services are Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 12:00noon at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1501 N.
