Deonta LaTroy Allen, was born July 9, 1993, to Ms. Lashasha "Toy" Allen and Mr. Fredrick Smith. He departed this life on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the age of 19. Deonta, more affectionately known as "Tae" , by his family and friends, was educated in the Toledo Public School system. He liked to play basketball and loved to be with his family and friends. Tae will always be remembered for his beautiful smile. Deonta loved to eat and he was truly a "Momma's Boy". Tae liked listening to music and driving, but most of all, Tae loved sitting on Fernwood with his friends. Deonta leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Lashasha "Toy" Allen; stepfather, Mr. Tommy Canon, Sr.; brothers, Quincy and Nathaniel Allen, Little Fred, Fredrick Smith, Jr., and Tommy Cannon, Jr.; sisters, April Scipio and Jessica Smith; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rosie (Vincent) Allen-McGhee, known to Tae as "Nanny", paternal grandmother, Ms. Clara Jennings; aunt, Ms. Valerie Allen-Murphy; special great aunt, Ms. Christine Allen, better known to Tae as "Aunt Tine", and she always called him "Freddie"; uncle, Mr. Phillip Allen; special cousin, Mr. Leo Hall, III; special friends, Limmie, Kenny, Delawuan, Brandon, Dejon, Stefan, Nikira, Eric and Cardy; god sister, Shamera King; god daughter, Emiya Jones; god son, Little Dejon, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
