Susanne White Obituary

Susanne "Sue" White, 66, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at her home, on Monday, October 8, 2012. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 16, 1946, to the union of Clay and Evelyn White, Sr. As a child, her mother taught her about the power and presence of God in her life. She enjoyed attending and visiting various churches with family and friends. Sue was a graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School. She was employed at the former Maumee Valley Hospital and later Libbey Glass. Sue was a full time caregiver for her beloved mother and father until their passing. She also worked at University Carryout store where she was a friendly face you could count on to cheer you up and play your numbers. Sue had a passion for and truly enjoyed life. As a child, she was a Majorette and a member of the drill team for The Elks. Later in life, she was a honorary member of The Windjammers Van Club, where she was affectionately known as "Honeybee". She enjoyed trips to the casino with her sister and friends. An avid cook, everyone enjoyed her meals and baked goods during the holidays. Although Sue was a friend to everyone she met, her family was at the top of her priority list. She loved everyone's children and they loved her back. There wasn't a baby born that she didn't fall in love with the moment she laid eyes on them. "Auntie Sue" was like a second mother to her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She had a hand in raising all of them whether they liked it or not. She was always the person you could trust to care for your children because she loved them just as much as you did. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her love for family, cooking, baking and caring for her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Tony White and sisters, Bessie Jones and Patricia Coker. She will be dearly missed by her brother, Clay (Beverly) White of Irvine, CA; sisters, Eloise Pope of Jeffersonville, IN, Myrtle (Curtis) Smith, Josalyn (Clarence) Ellerson and Barbara Young, all of Toledo; special nephew, Ronald (Melanie) White of Toledo; special friends, Shirley and Jewrell Neal, Laurie Stewart, Blace, Esther and Marlene, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, as well as countless friends. Service for Ms. Susanne White will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00am, wake starts at 10:00am held at Church of New Beginnings, 4640 S. Detroit St.
