Jerry Collier

<p>Jerry Kirk Collier, 63, born in Ripley, Tennessee on June 13, 1949 to the union of Hollie and Ida Bell Collier. Kirk passed away on September 28, 2012 at Toledo Hospital. Kirk’s early years were spent in Mansfield, Ohio. He graduated from Toledo Scott where he ran track and wrestled. After graduation Kirk joined the United States Army where he served for 15 years. After separating from the Army he attended ITT Technical College receiving a certificate in Electronics and furthered his education at The Ohio State Campus at Mansfield receiving an Associate Degree. Kirk worked for the Water Waste Management in Mansfield, Ohio where he retired. He was an avid league bowler and league pool player, a coach for Junior Golfers, and an Honorably Discharge Army Veteran. Kirk was head of the Video ministry at New Hope Baptist Church where Michael Prince is the pastor. Surviving ex-wife Janice Collier; surviving children; Antonio (Charissa) Collier of Parkland, Fl., Jerry (Sara) Collier Jr. of Brevard, NC., Timirin (Hannah) Collier of Brevard, NC. grandchildren, Caprio Collier, Brooklyn Collier; surviving brothers, James Collier of Tampa, Florida, Archie (Doris) Collier of Atlanta, Ga., Curtis (Belinda) Collier and James (Theresa) Berryhill; sister, Ida (Milton) Mappe; fiancée, Theortris Ross; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by Hollie Collier II (father), Ida Berryhill (mother), Hollie Collier III (brother), Linda Mills (sister).</p>
