Stephanie Jordan Toledo, Ohio Obituary

Stephanie Jordan

<p>Stephanie Elaine Jordan, affectionately known as “Stephie”, was born on February 12, 1962 (in truth 1963) at Detroit Memorial Hospital in Detroit, MI. She was the second youngest of nine children born to the union of Edward and Mattie B. Jordan. She attended Cass Tech High School and graduated class of 1980. She later graduated from Spring Arbor University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Studies and continued to pursue a Master of Art in Social Work at The University of Toledo. Stephanie loved working with people and spent most of her life working in corrections, child care and social services. Stephanie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age and was a member of Family Baptist Church in Toledo, Oh. Throughout her journey here on earth, Stephanie was a very caring, loving and giving person. She had a wonderful way of connecting with people and had a smile that would light up a room. She loved nothing more than her children and spent her life ensuring that they were loved, educated, and spoiled. Although her road was not easy, her spirit was always smiling and she was stronger than she knew. On August 31, 2012, Stephanie was called to receive her wings as an angel to all that knew her. Preceding her to glory are her parents Edward and Mattie B. Jordan, eldest sister Dorothea Jordan, youngest sister Jill Ann Jordan, nephew Michael Jordan and great niece Dominique Jordan. Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory two children: Derick Dewayne Collins, Jr. of Detroit, MI and Mya Racquel Jordan of Toledo, OH; three brothers: Steven Jordan (Rhonda) of Sicklerville, NJ, Edward Jordan, Jr. (Kim) of Vorhees, NJ and Elvin Jordan (Faye) of Detroit, MI; three sisters: Doris Jordan, Susan Allen and Shelia Littles of Detroit, MI; three nephews: Marcus Cowans, Edward “Julian” Jordan III and Cameron Jordan; twelve nieces: Jacqueline Jackson, Gwendolyn Littles-Williams, Sherry Jordan Shayla Williams, Shanel Jordan, Shonterra Jordan, Candice Bundy, Shannon Jordan, Sierra Jordan , Siani Jordan, Camari Jordan and Crystal Jordan; six great nephews: Michael Jordan, Jr., Mazike Jordan, Devin Kemp, Samir Jordan, I’jazz Jordan and Braylon Williams; four great nieces: Mykia Jordan, Nya Jordan, Zion Williams and Brooke Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
