Marie Jackson-Cole was born to William Owen and Josephine Thomas-Kelley of Miriam, AL on September 18, 1937. She departed this life on Friday, August 10, 2012. Marie grew up in Alabama, later moving to Columbus, GA, Chicago, IL, and eventually making Toledo, OH her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, and 2 children. She leaves to mourn her sons, Thomas O. Scarbrough of Kenosha, WI, Kevin B. Washington, Angelo Todd Haygood of New York, and Geoffrey G. Jackson (Lori) of Aurora, CO; daughter, Glenda Jackson of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; 1 sister-in-law; 6 aunts; goddaughter, Hazel Lewis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Judith Furlong and the Hospice Staff at 800 S. Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH. Family hour will be at 2 p.m. at the House of Day, followed by the funeral at 3 p.m., officiated by Brother Theodore Hyde. Private interment.
