Timothy Lyle Wilson Obituary

Timothy Lyle Wilson, a native of Toledo, Ohio, was born, June 8, 1958,to Thelma and Johnnie Lee Wilson. On May 26, 2012, he passed from this life into glory, at the age of 53.


He fell in love with and married, Beverly Manago, in 1993

, an to this union, was born one child, Ray'Chel Angel.


He attednded Lincoln and Glennwood Elementary schools and graduated from Jessup W. Scott High School; where he was a Punter and a Linebacker, on the football team. In 1972-73, Timothy was Athlete of the year.


He was very intelligent and was accepted in the Engineering program at the University of Toledo Community and Technical College and Davis College. Timothy also earned an Associate Degree at Rets Institute of Technology in Electronic Engineering.


Timothy accepted Christ as a young man. His love for Christ inspired him to accept his calling to the Ministry. As the Lord ordered his footsteps, he took Bible classes at the Rhema Bible College, along with taking numerous home bible study courses. Timothy had a zeal for God, and was always studying the word of God. He later was ordained as an Elder, in the Church of God in Christ, under Bishop William Morgan James, Sr.


He was a faithful member of St. James "The Armory", Church of God in Christ; where he worked faithfully until the Lord called him and his family back to his home church, New Life Church of God in Christ, under Bishop Edward T. Cook. He remained a faithful servant until his transition to glory.


He was not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was evident in his faithful and passionate work to the Prison Ministry.


No matter where he was, whether it was a family reunion, wedding, or any other type of gathering. Timothy was allways talking about and witnessing for the Lord. In order to stay connected to his younger cousins, and friends,he reached out and ministered to them on facebook.


Timothy honorably served in the United State Airforce.


He was employed by Ford Motor Company; from where he retired.


He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted and faithful wife of 18 years, Beverly, and precious daughter, Ray'Chel Angel. He is also survived by his five sisters, Sheila Welch, Krista Parr, Martha Eileen Wilson, Rochelle Anderson, all of Columbus, OH, and Lorna Kay Wilson of Toledo, OH, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Homegoing services are Sunday, June 3, 2012, at 6 p.m., preceded by visitation services at 5 p.m. at St. James "The Armory", 3319 Nebraska Avenue. Services provided by The House of Day Funeral Service.
