Victoria Kynard
<p>VICTORIA (MELTON) KYNARD “Mother”, 86 of Toledo , OH died peacefully at 12:36 am , Thursday, June 18, 2011 at Hospice Center Promedica surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 27, 1924 in Perry County , AL to the late John E. and Aquilla P. ( Moore ) Melton. There, she met and married her husband of 34 years, the late Louis C. Kynard Sr, on July 10, 1943 . In 1945 she moved to Toledo , OH to raise her family and help her husband run a successful Good Gulf Full Service Filling Station, for which Victoria was the Administrative Assisstant. Along with her husband and sons, Victoria owned and operated a profitable family business, Kynard and Sons Bar and Pool Room, and also owned several properites throughout the Toledo area. Victoria worked 11 years as an Information Operator at the Medical College of Ohio, from which she retired in 1993. Victoria was also a fulltime homemaker, caring wife and loving mother. Those who knew her loved her, she was known as “Mother” to everyone. She also enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, reading fiction literature, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> She is preceded in death by parents, John E. and Aquilla P. (Moore) Melton, husband Louis C. Kynard Sr, sons Calyes L. Kynard Sr. and Alan L. Kynard, brother: Frank J. Melton, and sister: Estelle Smith.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> Victoria will be sorely missed by her four beloved sons: Frank Kynard (Barbara) of Canton MI, Glenn Kynard Sr. (Regina) of Toledo OH, Louis Kynard Jr. (Lisa) of Grand Rapids MI, Mark Kynard Sr. (Joetta) of Toledo OH; daughter-in-law: Truda Kynard of Toledo OH; sister: Emma Alexander of Birmingham AL; brother: John Melton of Detroit MI, eightteen grandchildren: Calyes (Melanie) Kynard Jr., Martina (Darnell) Rogers, Danita Andrews, Victor (Charity) Kynard, Tyisha (Donald) Hatch, Glenda Kynard, Louis Cunningham, Glenn (Roxangela) Kynard Jr., Markeisha Kynard, Louis Kynard III, Karmen Kynard, Kyle Kynard, Frank Kynard II, Mark Kynard Jr., Yvonne and Yvette Watson, Precious Kynard, and Joseph Kynard; tweny-one great grandchildren; two great, great, grandchildren a host of neises, nephews, relatives and friends.</p><p> Services are 11:00am Friday, June 24, 2011 preceded by visitation at 10:30am at Kingdom Hall, 139 Richards Road, Toledo, Ohio 43607</p>June 18, 201106/18/2011
