Marcia Jane Quinn Willis Obituary

Mrs. Marcia "Wookie" Quinn Willis, was born on August 29, 1960, to the union of Fred and Inez Quinn. Her soul was called home to be with our heavely Father on the 3rd day of November 2010.


Marcia graduated from Scott High School in 1978. She attended Stautzenberger College and studied to be a medical assistant. Marcia also spent several years working for the Head Start Program, helping to serve her community through inspiring the minds of our youth.


"Wookie" was known as the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing to music, cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with close family and friends. Marcia was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church and was a part of their Praise and Worship Team. Marcia affectionately known as "Sweetie" by her grandchildren.


She was truly a pleasant soul and joy to be around. She possessed a miltitude of family and friends whom she loved dearly. She will forever be missed and her life will be celebrated in all of our memories.


Marcia is survived by her husband, Clyde Willis; her four loving children, Kimberly, Kelly, Kiana and Kenyi (Bam) Quinn; grandchildren, Erica Gardner, Kylei, Romonce Smith, II, Roger Watkins, Jr. and Kenyi Quinn, Jr; sisters, Patsy Bolden and Vanessa Akpan; baby brother, Fred Quinn, Jr.; mother-in-law, Vivian Manuel and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends


Services are 11:00am Thursday, November 11, 2010 preceded by wake services starting at 10:00am at United Missionary Baptist Church, 2705 Monroe Street. Visitation Wednesday, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at The House of Day Funeral Home.
