Tare Lake was born February 20, 1933. He departed this life to be with the Lord on May 10, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 77.

Tare is is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lake, 2 sons, Calvin M. Conner and Charles M. Lake; 5 daughters, Terry G. Lake, Linda S. Ousley, Lynette D. Lake, Cheryl (Roosevelt) Hoskins, and Ratico J. Lake.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15th at 11:00am preceded by a 10:00am Wake at Mt. Zion Church, 701 Vance St. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14th at the House of Day Funeral Service, Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
