Sr. Margarita Walters, O.S.B., nee Mella, mother of Debi Mella, Dale Burks, Katherine Bond, Rebecca (Rex) Hatch, Jason (Tatjana) Walters, and stepmother of Debbie Sullivan and Steven Walters. Grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Sister of Katherine (Robert), Michael (Lisa), Mary (the late Edward), Philip (Nancy), Joseph (Su), and the late John "Tony" and the late William (Cindy).  Aunt, cousin and friend of many.  Sr. Margarita is also mourned by her Benedictine Community.  She was preceded in death by her parents John and Katherine Mella.  Sr. Margarita was a seeker throughout her life and came to the Benedictine Community in 1997.  She was employed in various administrative offices at St. Scholastica High School and the monastery.  Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 2nd from 3-5pm and Saturday from 9am until time Mass at 9:30am at St. Scholastica Monastery, 7430 N. Ridge Blvd., Chicago. A live-stream link will be available to view the Mass at www.osbchicago.org.  Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery.
