KYNARD Mrs. Pigeon Mrs. Pigeon Kynard, 92, of Margaret, AL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, in the Toledo Hospital. She was born February 12, 1917, in Marion, AL, to Wade and Vallie Underwood. She was an active member of the Mt. Avery Baptist Church for many years and was the president of the Missionary Society for over 40 years. Mrs. Pigeon was preceded in death by her husband, William Kynard, Sr.; son, William Kynard, Jr., who just passes six weeks ago. She leaves to treasure her memory 14 remaining children: sons, John (Lena), Douglas McArthur (Lillian), Frank (Beulah), Joseph, Albert (Leslie) of Smyna, TN, Walter (Cathy) of Norfolf, VA and Morris of Pell City, AL; 7 daughters, Lula Harper of Margaret, AL, Minnie (Johnie) Brown, Mary (James), Leila Powers of Odenville, AL, Ethel Scott, Flora Kynard of Allen, TX and Willie Ann Evans; 42 grandchildren and a host of great-grand children, great-great-grandchildren and other loving relatives and kind friends. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday (today) in The House of Day Funeral Home, 2550 Nebraska Ave. Service Sunday, January 31, 2010, at the Mt. Avery Baptist Church, Margaret, AL.
