Louis Allen

<p>Louis Allen, Sr., 75 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010, at his home. He was a former member of Braden United Methodist Church, before joining The Southern Missionary Baptist Church. A native of Abbeville, Missippi, he was a lifelong resident of Toledo. Louis attended Scott High School and was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Lou as he was affectionately called by his friends, was employed over 15 years with Compass (Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center) in various positions, most recent being the CAD Coordinator, prior to his retirement in October 2009. For many years, Lou was a faithful member of the Narcotics Anonymous Fellowship and was dedicated to changing people's lives. Lou was an avid sportsman who loved the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State, and fishing, he often joked of the big one that got away.</p><p><br></p><p> Louis was preceded in death by parents, Wilson and Emantha, brother, Sylvester Allen, former wife, Yvonne (Joyner) Allen, and son, Aaron B. Allen.</p><p><br></p><p> He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Allen, sons, Louis Allen, Jr., Damon (Pamela) Allen, Mack (Gail)Green, Derrick Green, all of Toledo, Ohio and Alvaro (Dana) George of Long Beach, CA; daughters, Rhonda (Anthony) Burroughs and Jana George of Toledo, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, George (Mary) Allen and Carlton H. Allen; sisters, Morell Fonfield and Ruby C. Hill all of Toledo, Ohio and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends.</p>
