Robert Earl Derden Obituary

Mr. Robert Earl Derden Sr., 66, affectionately known as "Sonny Bunny" of Toledo, Ohio passed away on November 18, 2009 in Hospice of NWO, Toledo after a brief illness. One of his greatest achievements was obtaining the status of Master Truck Driver for 38 years of excellent service and safe driving. He worked for Heidtman Steel for many years before purchasing his own 18 wheeler in which he hauled steel independently for TMC out of Des Moine, Iowa.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Robert Earl Derden Jr., daughters, Jeanette Dixon, Nannette (Leslie) Dickerson (Lexington, Ky), Monique Lang and Vyrelle (Derrick) Winfree; mother, Hazel Derden,; brothers, Walter (Sharon) Derden (Sacramento, Ca.), and John E. Derden,; sister, Barbara A. Derden, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, special friend Johnny Pepper (East St. Louis, Ill.) and a host of other relatives and friends.
