Felicia Saint Surin Obituary

Hello, my name is Julie Baptiste. I’m here to talk about Felicia Saint Surin most know has Chado.

Chado was born on September 8 1926 at Jacmel, Haiti and unfortunately died on November 12

2022 at 5:52 pm.

She had one sister left, no kids but there was no need to ‘cause she had nieces and nephews, Yveline Baptiste, Robens Ozile and others at Port-au-Prince, Haiti and France that became her children. As you can tell she loved and received loved back.

I remember her making fun of my Haitian creole when I couldn't pronounce words correctly. Her favorite season was summer because she loved to go outside and get her fresh air. “Julie map soti deyo a, ranje chanm ou wi” this woman loved to clean and cook.

But her favorite activity was going to church on Sundays to praise the Lord and when she couldn’t do it we always heard “vinn met sèvis la pou mw” She always had this amazing smile with people, and I think she would be happy where she is seeing that amount of people at her favorite place just for her. I guess later me and my grandma won’t be able to, watch her favorite Haitian movies, listen to her favorite Haitian and African music but Matthieu 5:4 says “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Rest in heaven my wonderful grandma.
