Ethel Almetha Connor

Ethel made her peaceful trasition to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2009. Born on September 4, 1921, to the union of Annie Nora and Square Hill in Greensboro, Alabama, Ethel was the 8th of 10 children. Ethel has 4 children, Bertha Major, Willie Brown, Herbert Brown and the late Joseph Connor.

Ethel worked at Sunset House until her retirement in 1985, she then moved to Arizona until she became ill returning to Toledo.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 5 sisters, 1 son and 2 grandchildren.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Bertha (Richard) Major, sons, Willie (Georgetta) Brown, and Herbert (Brenda) Brown, 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and numerous, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009, at 10:00 am, preceded by a wake at 9:00 a.m., at the House of Day Funeral Service. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 31, 2009, at the House of Day Funeral Service from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
