<p>MC CORMICK Gilbert Charles aka Slick Gilbert, 55, went to be with the Lord April 2, 2009, at Concord Nursing Home, Toledo, OH. He was born December 17, 1953, was preceded in death by his parents, Major Cecil and Christine McCormick; brothers, Eric Ross, Major Cecil Jr. He graduated from Scott High School where he was one of the greatest basketball players ever. He was awarded a full scholarship and attended universities in Colorado and Mexico. He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Bonnie McGlown, LeNora (Darrell) McGlown, Belinda (Charles) Hicks, Iris (Jerry) Hicks, Lapeda McCormick; brothers, Singleton Don, Allen (Diane), Tony (Shari), Alvin and Arvie McCormick; ex-wife, Pattie Smith-Mc-Cormick; 4 step children; a host of relatives and friends. We will be celebrating his life with a memorial service at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1401 Hoag St., Monday, April 13th at 1:00 p.m.</p>
