<p>GAIL ANN ABBOTT, 81, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 2:30 AM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. She was born on July 28, 1941 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Willis and Georgia (Clayton) Young. On July 15, 1961, Gail married Ralph Abbott, who survives. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>She is survived by two children, Deborah (Jimmie) Brown of Houston and Jonathan (Carol) Abbott of Sidney; five grandchildren, Sarah (Brian), Jennifer (Shaun), Kristin (Tim), Michelle (Hunter) and Joshua and seven great-grandchildren, Brennen, Madison, Owen, Hunter, Lillian, Nolan and Troy. Gail was preceded in death by sister, Sarah Sue Millet. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Mrs. Abbott was a Homemaker all her life. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time. Gail also enjoyed going antiquing and dining out with her family. She mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren. Gail was a member of Sidney First United Methodist Church. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Private Services will be held by her family at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Burial will be at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Shelby County Home in Gail's memory.
