Bessie Mae White- McFadden Obituary

Mother Bessie McFadden was 85, and departed this life Wednesday November 23, in Marion County. She was the mother of Dewayne McBride, Rosa McFadden Davis, Amanda Gibbons, Harriet Wilson and Milton White. You may visit the family at 611 W. Godbold St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the New Born Assembly Church, Mullins on Friday December 2, at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.      

~ Obituary ~

Bessie Mae White McFadden was born on May 28, 1937 to the late Eddie and Amanda White of Marion, South Carolina. 

She was married to Allen Leroy McFadden who preceded her in death. 

On Thursday November, 23, 2022, she entered into eternal rest at the Carolinas Hospital System in Marion, South Carolina. 

She is preceded in death by her brothers Richard White, Edward White, her sisters Maggie Gurley and Katherine Smith and her grandson Demetrik White. 

She attended the public schools of Marion County. She was employed at Sara Lee for 30 plus years. She loved singing with "The Sunrise Jubilees". 

She was a member of Newborn Assembly Apostolic Holiness Church in Mullins, South Carolina. The Pastor is Apostle Dr. Adella Washington. She was an active member of the church where she served as a Pastor's Aide, she participated in the "Do Nothing Club", The Senior Choir and the Gospel choir. 

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children, Amanda Gibbons of Marion, SC, Dewayne Alexander (Sharon) McBride of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Harriet (Donald) Wilson of Latta, South Carolina, preceded in death Anthony Keith McFadden, Rosa (Maxie) Davis of Dillon, South Carolina and Milton White of Marion, South Carolina; a spiritual sister and very special friend, Mary Felder; 10 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 6 great great granchildren; four loving sisters Annie Ruth Foxworth, Rosa Lee Dorsey, Velma Davis and Ernestine Page all of Marion, South Carolina along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

           

The family of Mother Bessie McFadden in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the McFadden family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
