Staff Sergeant Montana L. Carrington Sr. was born on July 26, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to Modis and Catherine Elizabeth Sailes. Montana (lovingly known as 'Sandy') graduated from Pershing High School in 1980. Around that time, he also met the love of his life, Carla, whom he affectionately called, 'PIE'. They were married December 30, 1985 and raised five children together. After graduating, Montana enlisted in the United States Army where he served faithfully for over ten years. Upon returning home, Sandy began his career with Chrysler where he supervised. Montana Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted wife, Carla. His loving siblings, Clinton and Camille. His five caring children, Montina, Sheriece (Brandon), Crystal, Catherine, and Montana Jr. And five beautiful grandchildren: Akielah, Charneyl, Aiyannah, Raelyn, and Jaxon. Plus a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Montana loved dancing, sports, music, and
karate and horror flicks. He even loved playing hilarious pranks and passed down his witty sarcasm to all five children. 
But, more than that, He would proudly say, 
 "I love my wife, and beautiful family."
