<p>Ruth “Ruthy” Montalvo, dedicated loving mother, sister, &amp; wife, a caring friend to many - passed away on November 18, 2022 at the age of 56 surrounded by her loving husband, daughter, &amp; son. Ruth was born to the late Ismael Marquez and Luzmaria Lebron in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico where she grew up alongside her two sisters, cousins, and loving family. Moving to Elizabeth, NJ in 1984 where she would lovingly raise her two children - her daughter Katirya &amp; son Randall born in 1984 and 1986 respectively. Ruth would then meet the love of her life and soulmate Norman “Bud” Burgess eventually moving together to Bridgewater, NJ in 2007, they met while working at Petro Extrusion Technologies where she was a dedicated Shipping Supervisor and considered her fellow co-workers family, truly loving her career. Through the years, on her spare time, Ruth enjoyed reading many books on some occasions using a kindle, gardening was an incredible passion - putting together a beautiful garden alongside her husband, taking many trips with close family, decorating her home- especially in autumn colors (her favorite season), talking to family and friends on the phone who she kept in close contact, and hosting Sunday dinner for us all- these were full of delicious food, great conversation, laughter, fun games, love, and warmth, it was truly special. </p><p>She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Norman “Bud” Burgess, children, Katirya Montalvo and Randall Montalvo, granddaughter Leila Rodriguez, and sisters Noemi Marquez-Lebron and Evelyn Marquez-Lebron. </p><p>Visiting hours will be held from 3-6 pm, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St. Bridgewater, NJ 08807 with a funeral service at 5:30pm. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Norman Burgess, 3807 Sunnyslope Rd., Bridgewater, NJ 08807 </p>
