<p>Lauren Michelle McNeil,59, went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 5, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.</p><p> She was born in Wilmington Delaware, on November 5, 1948. She attended Scott High School and MIT Business College in Cleveland, OH. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.</p><p> Michelle was united in marriage to Burley D. McNeil on December 31, 1967. To this union three children were born. She was a caring person and helped others change for the better. She was a devoted homemaker. She committed her heart to Christ as a child and later attended Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Clayborn Arnett.</p><p> She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Lamont, parents, Charles and Charlotte Hayward, and brother, Anthony.</p><p> She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Burley D; son, Jeffery; daughter, Tina, step-daughter, Jacqueline,adopted daughters, Tanesha, Michele, and Mindy; five grandchildren, Kevin and Kayla McNeil, Bobby Jr. (BJ) and Kenya Gittens and Jordon Gifford, great-grandchildren, Dashawn Gittens, Mareon McNeil and Gregory (Javon Hawkins, brothers, Charles, Michael,Gregory (Deborah),Vernon, Darryl, Shawn, Andre, and Brian, sisters, Drusilla and Ramona (Charles), special neice, Rubystine, and a host of other neices and nephews, family and dear friends. Special thanks to Ida Phenix. Family hour at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2008 at The House Of Day Funeral Service chapel. Pastor Clayborn Arnett, officiating Burial Woodlawn Cemetery .</p>
