Florence Theresa (Guilmette) Jutras, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She was born in Berlin, NH on March 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Elzear Guilmette and Marie Anna Tousignant Guilmette. Her beloved husband, Maurice, passed away in 1999. They were married for fifty-five years. Florence is survived by her three children; Pauline Spanilo and her husband Ernest of Agawam, MA; Jeanne Liss and her husband Mark of Enfield, CT; Donald Jutras and his wife Cindee of Enfield, CT. Her sister Jacqueline Morin of Berlin, NH and her brother Lucien Guilmette and his wife Louise of Concord, NH. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Mark Nelson, Julie Slater, Denise Kowalczyk, Michael Spanilo, Sean Trahan, Sarah Yarnes and Laura Liss. Eight great grandchildren: Danielle Burke, Jenna Slater, John, Ava and Holly Kowalczyk, Hayden Trahan, Madison Spanilo and Abigail Yarnes. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice, her daughter Louise Nelson, five brothers: Roland, Albert, Robert, Paul and Ernest Guilmette and four sisters: Blanche Cushman, Marguerite Sherman, Jeannette Roy and Theresa Vezina. Maurice and Florence found their forever home in Enfield, CT in 1959 where they raised their four children. Florence remained in the same house before moving to Evergreen Health Care in 2020. In earlier years, Moe and Flo were actively involved with the Stafford Model A Club and enjoyed day trips with their Model A Club friends. Florence worked for Hallmark Cards for many years and after retirement, she volunteered at St. Joseph’s Residence and also took pleasure in gardening. Coming from a family of 12 children Florence always looked forward to the Guilmette family reunions. She loved to reminisce with her brothers and sisters about the fun times they had growing up in New Hampshire. Florence’s family wishes to thank the nurses and staff members at Evergreen Health Care for their loving care during the past two years. You truly made her transition from home a pleasant one. She enjoyed playing bingo and especially liked the Friday concerts. We also want to thank her good friend Dottie who took Flo under her wing and made her feel at home. Your kindness will forever be appreciated.

Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 with the procession forming at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by a Prayer Services at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. The family has requested memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
