Fredrick Thompson, age 92 of Philadelphia, passed peacefully away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Bridges of Warwick Senior Living Center in Jamison, PA
Born and raised in Wagners Point Baltimore, MD, Fredrick was the son of the late Fredrick and Genevieve (nee Slisky) Thompson. The family then moved to Philadelphia, where he was a graduate of Dobbins Career and Technical High School.
Fred was an honorably discharged, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, who served during the Korean War as an engine operator. He retired from Devereux School, where he worked for many years as a printing and vocational teacher.
A member of the VFW, Fred enjoyed going to church. In his leisure, he could be found fishing and gardening.Fredrick is survived by his many cousins, Diane Shea, Chuck (Cay) Shea, Brenda (Tom) Garver, Belinda (Tom) Huesman, Allen (Amanda) Soth and Chuck Fraley.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Funeral Services on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main St., Darby, PA 19023. There will be a viewing from 10-10:45am, followed by a Graveside Service at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, PA.
