Theresa Mabel Stolz

<p>Theresa Mabel Stolz (nee Carroll), of Thunder Bay born October 25th 1934 second youngest of fourteen children to Herb and Mabel Carroll passed away peacefully on November 20, 2022 with family by her side. </p><p>On August 11, 1954, Theresa married the love of her life Anthony (Tony) Stolz, and their journey began. Maybe it was his handsome face or the charming way he told her she looked like a farmer, but the two went on to celebrate 64 years of marriage and many adventures together. Theresa and Tony built a beautiful life that included seven children: Cathy Maydanski (John), Thomas Stolz (Diana-Marie), Joseph Stolz (Suneeka), Tony Stolz (Wendy) Cindy Stolz (Val Frankis), Carol Cine (Brent), sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Theresa was always proud to talk about her big family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Tony, son Jim and grandson Billy. </p><p>Theresa dedicated her life to raising her beautiful (noisy) family; later she worked for Blake's Funeral Chapel retiring in 1999. She loved her time at Blake's and in true Theresa fashion brought Tony along with her and made the staff at Blake's her family. </p><p>Theresa welcomed everyone to her home and there was always time for tea and plenty of her baking. She truly loved being a grandmother and always made it clear that her home was for her grandkids to enjoy. She was always there to support and celebrate the people she loved and would encourage people to travel and enjoy life, reminding them that happiness comes from the simple things. It is with heavy and full hearts that the Stolz family invite you to celebrate Theresa's beautiful life.</p><p>Visitation will be held in Blake Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 23rd 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Prayers offered at 8:00 p.m. by Rev. Jerin Louis. </p><p>Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Holy Family Church celebrated by Rev. Jerin Louis. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery following a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. </p>
