Debra K Bodden, 68 of Dunedin, Fl., peacefully passed away on November 22, 2022 at home with family after a difficult 18 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.


Debbie was born on March 31,1954 to Billy & Ida Wells in London, Ky. Debbie graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1975 with a degree in biology and medical technology.


After graduation, Debbie moved to Florida and was promptly hired by Mease Hospital in Dunedin. She worked for Mease Hospital and Baycare Health System for over 35 years except for time off when her children were pre-school age.


In 1977 Debbie met Gene Bodden in Clearwater whom she married in 1979. Debbie & Gene had 2 sons, Joshua Royce Bodden and Chase Newton Bodden. They have resided in Dunedin for the entire 43 1/2 years of their marriage.


Debbie retired in 2014. While retired, Debbie pursued her hobbies of decorating, working out at the gym and "going" in their MotorHome. She loved traveling throughout the beautiful USA. Whenever possible Debbie loved volunteering at “Harriet’s Food Pantry “ a Ministry of Clearwater Community Church where she was a member for over 20 years. Together Debbie & Gene became a part of the "Harriet's Team" committed to feeding those in need. She also loved being able to participate in Ladies "BSF" Bible Study Fellowship where she made several good friends. She enjoyed being an active resident of Virginia Crossing and took part in many of the activities that this community has available for their residents. Getting to know and call friends many of the wonderful residents there brought much joy to Debbie.


Debbie was pre-deceased by her father Billy R Wells. Debbie is survived by her husband Gene Bodden, sons Joshua R Bodden and Chase N Bodden and mother Ida Wells Morris. A "Celebration of Life " Service will be held at Clearwater Community Church on Saturday December 17 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Empath Suncoast Hospice.


The family wishes to thank everyone at Empath Hospice.. ..the Nurses, Doctors and volunteers both those at the Care Center and those in the field for their excellent care of Debbie as she moved from this temporary life to eternal life in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ.
