Kathy Reid Reid Stinson, 63, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

Born September 28, 1959, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of Jerry Calvin Reid, Sr. and Peggy Jean Hall Lee.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Daniel (Danny) Reid.

Kathy was employed by Catawba Valley Medical Center, and was of the Baptist faith. She loved music, cooking, flower gardening, spending time at the beach, and her Alabama Crimson Tide.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her parents, are her husband, Russel D. Stinson of the home, son, Andy Reid and wife Angie of Granite Falls, daughter, Danielle Clark and husband Jeff of Granite Falls, two stepdaughters: Deanna Stinson of Newton and Tiffany Seabolt of Coalwood, W.Va., stepson, Russel Stinson, Jr. of Newton, grandson, Heath Clark of Granite Falls, two step granddaughters: Kylie Smith and Amira Call both of Newton, step grandson, Ivan Seabolt of Coalwood, W. Va., three sisters: Debra Cutshall of Bethlehem, Lisa Johnston of Granite Falls, and Melinda Ferguson of Kings Creek, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and the Neon Waves Family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in the chapel of Bass-Smith Funeral Homewith Pastor Chris Helderman officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
