Ms. Annette Chauncey, 78, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, after years of declining health.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.

Ms. Chauncey was a native and lifelong resident of Pitt County, living most of her life in the Pactolus community. Also for most of her life, she attended Tranters Creek Church of Christ. She was employed by Burroughs Wellcome, retiring in 1995 with 24 years of service.

Ms. Chauncey was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Clara Chauncey; and her brother, Harold Bryan Chauncey. She is survived by her son, Charles Chauncey and wife, Yvette, of Pactolus; her sisters, Alva C. Stancil of Kenly and Donna Bell Linton of Blounts Creek; and her special K-9, Nubby.

The family would like to thank other family, special friends, and many caregivers over the past 10 years who took care of Annette. Also, a special thank you to Community Home Care and Hospice for their care and attentiveness over the past four and a half months.
