Wilma Margarette Gunnoe

On Oct. 16, 2017, we lost our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Wilma Margarette Gunnoe. She passed away from a sudden illness at her home in Danese. Born on July 20, 1948 at Maplewood, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Taylor and Lorene Zethel Ayers Taylor. Wilma was the wife of Lonnie Willard Gunnoe, Jr. They were married for almost 49 years. Besides her husband, others left to cherish her memories are her children; Lonnie (Pete) Willard Gunnoe Ill, Roberta (Robin) Lynn Gunnoe Darnell, Virginia (Jenny) Helen Gunnoe, and Randy Wayne Gunnoe; Grandchildren, James Aaron Gilkerson, Gabriel Isaac Dixon, Danielle Elizabeth Gunnoe, James Shanklin Gilkerson, Jr., Makayla Faith Gunnoe, Ryan Shawn Friend, Bentley Wayne Gunnoe, and great-granddaughter, Kayden Brooke Gilkerson. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Also left to cherish her memories are her sisters and brother; Wilda Wade and husband Barney, Shirley McDaniel and husband Harold, Betty Hall and husband Tim, Susie Ramsey and husband Allen, Janie Toney and husband Mike, Ray Taylor and wife Tammy. Wilma also had many brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was loved dearly and will be missed by many. May we all find peace in knowing that what we have lost here on earth, Heaven has gained. It is a journey that we all will take. James 4:14, Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Milburn Pack officiating. Burial will follow at Gunnoe Cemetery at Danese.
