<p>Charles "Clay" Burkhart, age 61, of Golconda, Illinois passed away on November 19, 2022, at Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>Clay was born on May 29, 1961 to Donald D. and Elaine (Sweeney) Burkhart in Salem, IL. </p><p><br></p><p>Clay is survived by his wife, Paula Burkhart; two sons, Dustin (Emily) Burkhart, Caleb (GF Kaley Stark) Burkhart; grandchild, Henrik Burkhart; father, Donald Burkhart; sibling in laws, Bert Langham, Vance (Jill) Langham, Deana Langham, Darice (Matt Bock) Langham.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Brinkley; step-father, Robert Brinkley; step-mother, Louise Burkhart; siblings, Gene Burkhart, Nancy Bridges-Mickleson.</p><p><br></p><p>We would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Marcos Sunga and the entire staff of Hardin County Hospital and Residence Hospice for the excellent and loving care given to Clay and family during his last days. </p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL.
