Richard Raymond Benson (Benny), Goulds NL, Passed away peacefully at his home November 21, 2022 age 93. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Dixie (nee Seaboyer). His children, Beverley, Rod (Linda), Shelly (Frank Maynard), Andrea (Doug Mercer), Pamela (Paul Patey), and Sean. Grandchildren, Ben (Sara), Scott, Christopher (Melissa), Nathan (Jennifer), Emily, Saul (Jessica), Allison (Nathan), Stephanie (Jeff), and Clare (Jeffrey). Great Grandchildren, Paige, Zoey, Seb, Lena, Liam, Audrey, Luke and Caleb. Step children, Lynne( Kevin), Rocky, Terry, Wonda (Ken), Tom (Brenda), Ginny (Rick), Lisa (Rodger). Also survived by his sister Helen (Clarence Fisher), several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, wonderful neighbors, friends, and co-workers.

Predeceased by his first wife and Mother to his children Clara (Bowe), brothers Henry and Bob, sisters Ruth and Dot.

Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday November 23, 2022. 11:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00.

Funeral service will take place in Barrett's memorial chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue, at 11:00am on Thursday, November 24th, 2022

Internment to follow at Anglican Cemetery Kenmount Road
