Carol Ann Birmingham

Obituary Carol Birmingham passed away peacefully at Edenbrook of Oshkosh on Friday morning, February 25, 2022. She formerly lived in Neenah, Milwaukee and Appleton, WI. Carol was born to Merrill and Virginia Birmingham on December 10, 1938. She grew up in Neenah, WI, attended Neenah High School and St Olaf College in Northfield, Mn. After graduation, she taught History and Social Studies at Milwaukee Lutheran High School from September 1961 until her retirement in September 2004.."Miss B" as she was affectionately known to her students loved working with her students and helped others learn and grow towards their full potential. She was an eternal optimist and eagerly worked to influence others for the good throughout her life. Carol is preceded by her parents. her grandparents, William and Laura Foth (Neenah) and her aunts and uncle (Edith, Edna, Neenah; Eleanor Pfrang, Kaukauna;;and Ronald, Appleton. She is survived by her cousins, Pamela Pfrang, Madison and Timothy Pfrang, Sussex, WI. Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the Staff at Edenbrook for their care of Carol and the many friendships she developed there helping others to the end. A graveside ceremony with be conducted with her internment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah, WI later in the Spring. Those wishing to remember Carol should donate to Habitat for Humanity or their local Humane Society, two favorites of her many charities. Carol loved at Dublin Trail Apartments for many years. She was a neighbor of mine and she was always willing to help you out. She had great stories about teaching in Milwaukee and was always great with a punch line!

I worked with Miss B at Milwaukee Lutheran. She was a great teacher and friend. We loved our Schnauzers and talked endlessly about history and politics. Rest in. Peace.

I never had Miss B at Milwaukee Lutheran, but I do know that she was a favorite of many of my friends. She always exuded such a positive attitude! We will all have a great reunion in Heaven. Lucky her, she's already having a magnificent time with our Loving Lord.
