June E. Tuckett Obituary

June Tuckett, age 73, of Menasha, beloved wife of Harold and friend to all who knew her, went home to the arms of our Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, following complications from heart surgery. June Emily Hoeft was born June, 27, 1939 in Wausau, the daughter of the late Herman and Loretta (Ahrensdorf) Hoeft. She graduated from Wausau High School. June married Harold (Dedo) Tuckett on Oct. 31, 1964 in Marinette. June lived her strong Christian faith daily, acting in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 13 and reaching out with a warm, humble and giving heart, to family, friends and those who needed a helping hand and sympathetic ear. She had a gift for serving others especially the elderly and children, delighting in watching them thrive. She was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews and a "second mom" to Margaret and Elizabeth Nufer, whom she loved and cared for like her very own, enriching their lives immeasurably. They will miss her frequent phone calls to chat and her sage "June advice." Such was her devotion that she never missed her early morning wave to Liz and her co-workers as the Lakeside Packaging van rolled past the Tuckett front porch. June is survived by her husband, Harold (Dedo) Tuckett, her sisters-in-law Judie Hoeft and Charmise Noel; brother-in-law Bob Tuckett; nieces and nephews Lori (Jeff) Morzenti, Leesa, and Lane (Carrie) Hoeft, Ann (Gerry) Meissner, Cindy, Kristine, Michael (Sue) and Mark Noel, and Barbara Williams, plus several great nieces and nephews, and her "Menasha family," Margaret and Liz and their parents Kathy and Bruce Nufer. She was preceded in death by her parents Loretta and Herman Hoeft and her brother Walter Hoeft. June's family will receive relatives and friends at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Christ the Rock Community Church, W6254 U.S. 10, Menasha. A memorial has been established in her name with the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank the wonderful ICU staff at AMC especially Will, Tony and Chris for their compassionate care. June will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Everyone she knew, she liked. Service Information A service summary is not available
